The park was created by the Korea National Housing Corporation as part of Deungchon Housing Development Project and was donated to Gangseo-gu. Before the housing development project, there used to be a hill between the paddy fields across from the Saemaeul Headquarters office, and at the hill used to be Seonangdanggogae Ridge. The park is named after that ridge. It is a small park primarily for local residents where people can enjoy exercise and a chance to rest.
