Seonam Eco Park
Seonam Sewage Treatment Plant, located in Magok-dong, treats sewage from 9 districts of Seoul and Gwangmyeong. The total site area of the plant is 1,065,000㎡. The plant that processes 2 million tons of sewage a day and provides other facilities, including a fountain, kids' playground, futsal facility, pond and trail, in an effort to provide shelter and amenities to local residents and create a pleasant urban environment to challenge the stereotype that a sewage plant is an unpleasant facility.
Meta Sequoia Forest Trail
The hundreds of tall trees along the trail are magnificent in their splendor. This place provides a place for visitors to catch the sun in the winter, or enjoy the cool shade of the forest trail in summer.
Behind Seogwang Apartment (Mt. Chihyeon)
Located by the Hangang River, Banghwa-dong, Gangseo-gu, the name came from the characteristics of the place as a good pheasant (kwong) hunting place. It is also known as Mt. Chihyeon. It has an outstanding natural environment and despite the challenging topography, it has been effectively developed with sports and rest facilities such as a gate ball place and many pavilions in parts of the forest that had been damaged.
Mt. Chihyeon Observatory
The observatory is located at the northeastern end of Mt. Chihyeon. Located at the very tip, this pavilion is not large but provides comfort all year round, offering a spectacular view of Banghwa Bridge, Gangseo Hangang Park, and Haengjusanseong Fortress.
Cherry Blossom Trail
The road inside the park, where space for pedestrians was not secured due to illegal parking, tipping, and the excessive noise and dirt of dump trucks, was converted into a one-way road in 2010 and a rubber-paved trail was created to provide a pleasant park environment and safe pedestrian space. When over 100 cherry trees blossoming at both sides of the trail in spring, you can enjoy the beautiful scent of the cherry blossom flower.
Banghwa Neighborhood Park
Banghwa Park was named after Banghwa-dong, whose name means the village next to Mt. Gaehwa with the fragrance of flowers all year round. The park opened in December 1996. The park has various facilities, including round stages, squares, ponds, fountains and waterwheels. Along the trail are various plants and trees, including cherry blossoms. Connected with Mt. Gaehwa, dense forests and the Kwongogae Neighborhood Park, the park is an optimal place for family outings.
