The park's name, Gongamnaru Neighborhood Park, comes from Gongamnaru-gil, which is the name of the path between the park and Guam Neighborhood Park. The park stretches along the 88 Olympic Expressway and its 1.5km-long trail covered with elastic rubber is a favorite course for walkers and joggers. The drain site around the park has sports facilities, and the park is adjacent to Guam Neighborhood Park, Heo Jun Museum and Hangang Park.
